2025-09 Update Log

This update introduces several new features and improvements to TransMaS, including a redesigned job view, a new billing dashboard, and powerful search capabilities.

Terminology Changes

One of the challenges we've always come across when onboarding new customers is terminology. To make the platform feel more natural, we've updated key terms to better match the language people use on the job every day.

  • An Order is now a Job.
  • A Load is now a Schedule.
  • The "Transport" menu has also been renamed to Jobs for consistency.

We're still actively working to update any remaining old labels you may see throughout the system.

New Job Layout

We've been at it again and have updated the layout for the job view screen. While this is primarily a visual change, it comes with a few notable improvements:

  • Vertical Tabs: The tabs have been moved to the side to align with our style guide for other new screens.
  • Drag and Drop Files: You can now simply drag any PDF file into the browser when a job is open. This will automatically upload the file and update the documents screen.

We're planning more updates for this section in the future, including merging some of the tabs.

New Contract Job Search

We've created a new, dedicated search screen for contract jobs (also known as bulk orders) in the menu. This gives you more options to view both existing and upcoming contract orders and includes a new button to reopen previously closed/fulfilled orders.

New Billing Dashboard

We’ve added a new billing dashboard where you can see charges for the current and previous months. You can also easily update your billing details if they change. For now, this page is only available to account administrators, but we plan to add a new "billing admin" role in the future. You can access it by clicking your initials in the top right corner.

Job Search Supercharged

Numerous customers have asked for this, and we're finally happy to deliver! The job search (previously "order search") now has a multi-select mode. Just press 'M' to enable this, similar to the scheduler. This new feature allows you to multi-complete, multi-edit, and multi-cancel jobs, provided the usual requirements are in place. We've also added the customer to the multi-edit screen.

Scheduler Updates

  • The display for the driver/vehicle/trailer on the scheduler has been updated.
  • The driver mobile app symbol on the scheduler has been enhanced; a red symbol now means the driver has completed other activities but has not yet started their shift.
  • The driver group icon has been removed from the scheduler, though you can still search by group.
  • Fixed a bug on the scheduler that caused an error when sorting work on mobile.
  • Fixed a bug where a contract job would appear as "new" instead of "scheduled" when dragged onto a driver order.
  • A confirmation prompt has been added when you remove a load line that is part of a bulk order. This will offer to restore quantity or leave unplanned.

Other Updates and Bug Fixes

  • The standard job import now includes a driver and supplier column.
  • The subcontract rate has been added to the job completion tab.
  • The vehicle and trailer information have been added to the invoiced job view.
  • The load map view has been updated.
  • A preview version of a new reporting screen is now available.
  • Fixed a bug that occurred when changing dates on a pending order before it was accepted.
  • You can now manually upload multi-page PODs (Proof of Delivery), and the system will automatically split them into separate pages.
  • The customer address has been added to the customer listing screen.
