Completing, Reopening and Cancelling Repack Orders
Introduction
Once all input and output lines on a repack order have been fully processed, the order can be completed. This guide covers how to complete a repack, reopen it if changes are needed, and cancel an order that is no longer required. It also explains what happens to stock and charges in each case.
Completing a Repack Order
Before a repack can be completed, all lines must be fully processed — every input line must have its full quantity allocated, and every output line must have its full quantity of items created.
On the Platform
- Open the repack order from Menu → Movements → Repacks.
- Click the Complete button in the bottom-right of the order view.
- If all lines are fully processed, the order completes immediately.
On the Warehouse App
- Open the repack order from the Repacks section.
- Tap Complete at the bottom.
- Enter your name.
- Draw your signature on the signature pad.
- Tap Confirm to submit.
What happens when a repack is completed:
- The order status changes to Complete.
- The order is no longer editable for line changes.
- Any unused preprinted labels are cleaned up.
- The signature (if captured on the app) is stored against the order and visible on the platform.
- Any charges remain on the order and the total is finalised.
Reopening a Completed Repack
If a repack has been completed but you need to make corrections:
- Open the completed repack order.
- Click the Reopen button.
- The order returns to In Progress status and becomes editable again.
What happens when you reopen:
- Any signature captured at completion is cleared.
- Existing allocations and created items are not affected — all stock remains as it is.
Once you've made your changes, you can complete the order again.
Cancelling a Repack Order
If a repack order is no longer needed, you can cancel it. Unlike Goods Out orders, a repack can be cancelled even if processing has started — the system will reverse everything.
- Open the repack order.
- Click the Cancel button.
- Confirm when prompted.
What happens when you cancel:
- All input allocations are reversed — any stock that was consumed is restored to inventory, with reversal entries recorded in the stock ledger.
- All output items are deleted — any new stock that was created is removed from inventory entirely.
- Any unused preprinted labels are cleaned up.
- The order status changes to Cancelled.
- The order can no longer be edited or reopened.
Cancelling a repack fully unwinds all stock movements. Your inventory returns to the state it was in before the repack started.
Which Option Should I Use?
| Situation | Action |
|---|---|
| Repack is complete but an allocation or item needs correcting | Reopen, make changes, then complete again |
| Need to add more input or output lines | Reopen, add lines, then complete again |
| Repack was created by mistake | Cancel |
| Repack is no longer needed (even if partially processed) | Cancel |
| Just need to adjust charges on a completed repack | Edit charges directly — they remain editable until invoiced |
Key Things to Know
- A repack can only be completed when all lines are 100% processed. If any line has remaining quantity, the Complete button will not proceed.
- Reopening does not reverse any stock movements — input allocations and output items stay in place. You need to manually remove them if required.
- Cancelling reverses everything — both inputs and outputs are fully unwound.
- Cancelled repacks cannot be undone. If you cancel by mistake, you'll need to create a new order.
- Charges are editable on completed orders until the order is invoiced.
