Managing Allocated Jobs
It's always good to have a plan, but plans change. With that in mind TransMaS allows for quick and easy changes to your work once it has been planned onto a driver/vehicle.
An order must be in New/Allocated status to be amended on the schedule. Once marked as completed it will need to be rolled back to allow changes to the schedule.
All of the actions below are carried out from the Load View screen. You can reach this screen from a number of places with the most common being:
- Scheduler Screen, click on the load to view details.
- Open Orders, click on the assigned driver to view their daily work.
- Order View, click onto the completion tab, and then view load next to the current driver.
Changing the driver
If you need to change which driver is carrying out the work; you can right click on the relevant order, and click reallocate. This will then prompt you to select a new load to assign the order to. This will automatically place the new line at the bottom of the new load and remove it from the current driver immediately.
Remove from load
Sometimes, you just want to move an order off the assigned driver with no new driver in mind. Right clicking the relevant order will provide you with an option to remove load; clicking this will remove it from the driver, and place it back into your unallocated list.
It's important to note, that once an order is started, you cannot remove it from the driver, you will need to roll the details back to delete any progress so far.
Split into Collection/Delivery leg
There are many reasons you may want to split an order, you might be collecting multiple orders before delivering them all; the driver might have loaded already but isn't going to make it to the delivery point today. Whatever the reason, you can right click on the order, and select split to Collection.
This will prompt you with a further dialog, which asks you for some additional information.
Split Load only: If selected (default: yes), this will not show on the drivers app, but will allow you to change the delivery element freely.
If split load is set to no, then the text box below becomes editable, and will expect you to enter a location from your system.
Allocate D Record: If selected (default: yes), this will automatically prompt you after clicking Add to Schedule to allocate the Delivery record to another load. If this is not selected, it will automatically place the Delivery leg into the scheduler.
Allocate to same load: If selected (default: no), this will allocate the Delivery record to the bottom of the same load you are currently viewing, therefore bypassing the need to select a load and when you click Add to Schedule the modal will automatically close, bypassing the Allocation screen.
